SINCE 1881
SEIKO WATCHES
Seiko's history dates back to 1881 when 21-year-old entrepreneur Kintaro Hattori opened a watch shop in Tokyo. Over 130 years later, the company remains committed to his vision of continuous innovation and excellence in watchmaking. Seiko has introduced groundbreaking advancements, including the world’s first quartz watch in 1969 and the first GPS solar watch in 2012. Looking to the future, Seiko strives to blend cutting-edge technology with emotional appeal, aiming to create watches that not only measure time but also enrich and add excitement to people's lives globally.
Most Popular Seiko Watches
The "Captain Williard"
The Seiko reference 6105, famously known as the "Captain Willard," was produced between 1968 and 1977, gaining iconic status after being worn by Martin Sheen in Apocalypse Now. As Seiko's second dive watch, it featured 150-meter water resistance, a cushion-shaped case with a crown guard, and a friction-fitted bi-directional bezel. Its distinct black dial and lumed indices, combined with durable Hardlex crystal, made it a practical and legible tool watch. Modern iterations, such as the Seiko SPB151 and SPB153, pay homage to the original, offering upgraded features like a 6R35 movement, uni-directional bezel, and 200-meter water resistance.
THE "ARNIE"
The Seiko H558-5009, famously known as the "Arnie," gained iconic status after being worn by Arnold Schwarzenegger in action-packed films like Commando (1985) and Predator (1987). Originally introduced as one of the first analog-digital dive watches, the H558-5009 was renowned for its rugged, oversized design. In 2019, Seiko re-released a modern version, the SNJ025, with solar power, improved functionality, and a large 47.8mm case, staying true to the original’s tough aesthetic. The SNJ025 offers analog-digital timekeeping, dive capabilities, and a nostalgic charm, making it perfect for collectors who appreciate Seiko’s unique blend of retro style and modern features.
THE "ALPINIST"
The Seiko Alpinist has long been admired for its blend of affordability, reliability, and rugged charm, especially the iconic SARB017 model with its green dial and gold markers. Now reintroduced as part of the Prospex line, the new SPB121J1 features modern upgrades such as the 6R35 caliber with a 70-hour power reserve, sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, and an exhibition caseback. Maintaining its classic look, the SPB121J1 adds professional-grade capabilities, including 200m water resistance, a rotating compass bezel, and luminous markers. This versatile timepiece offers a refined aesthetic combined with robust functionality, making it perfect for both adventures and formal events.
THE "POGUE"
The Seiko Speedtimer "Pogue" Re-Interpretation pays homage to the first automatic chronograph worn in space by Colonel William R. Pogue during a NASA Skylab mission. Inspired by the original Seiko Speedtimer 6139, this modern re-creation stays true to its roots with an updated design featuring a combination of polished finishes and curved sapphire crystal. Powered by the solar Caliber V192, it includes a 24-hour indicator, chronograph, and a six-month power reserve. With 10 bar water resistance, LumiBrite hands and markers, and a tachymeter, this 41.4mm stainless steel watch blends space history with modern technology for a refined yet functional timepiece.
